Create new GUIDs (globally unique identifiers) in one click, in the format your code, SQL Server or registry file expects. Made in your browser, nothing uploaded.

To generate a GUID, open this page and copy one of the identifiers already listed, or change the quantity and format. A GUID is the Microsoft name for a UUID: a 128-bit identifier written as 32 hexadecimal digits. The ones here are version 4, made from your browser's secure random generator, and you can add braces, uppercase or remove the hyphens.
GUID stands for globally unique identifier and is what Microsoft calls the UUID defined in RFC 4122 and RFC 9562. The two names describe the same 128-bit value. In .NET, SQL Server, COM and the Windows registry you will see GUID; in most other places you will see UUID.

A random GUID has 122 random bits, so there are about 5.3 × 10^36 possibilities. Generating a billion per second, it would take about 86 years to reach a 50% chance of even one repeat. In practice you can create GUIDs on any machine, offline, and treat them as unique.
The conversion runs in your browser. What you type, paste or drop is never uploaded, which matters when the text holds tokens, personal data or internal files.
