Privacy policy

The short version
UtilsDock tools run inside your browser. The files, text and data you put into them are never sent to any server: they are processed on your device. The only thing our server receives is an anonymous visit count, without cookies (explained below, under "Usage statistics, without cookies").
Who is responsible
Controller: the owner of UtilsDock. Contact: hola@utilsdock.com.
What data we process
What you put into the tools
None of it is transmitted. The images, documents, text or passwords you use are processed in your own device's memory and disappear when you close or reload the page. No copies are kept, not even temporary ones, outside your machine.
Technical visit data
Our hosting provider logs standard technical data (IP address, browser, access time) for security and to keep the service running, on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating the site.
Usage statistics, without cookies
To know how many people use the site and which tools are useful, we count visits with our own system, hosted on our own server. When you open a page, your browser sends a notice containing: the page address, the domain you came from (for example, google.com), the type of screen (phone, tablet or computer) and, the first time you use a tool during that visit, a notice that you used it. Nothing you enter into the tools is ever sent: no files, no text, no results.
This count uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. So that the same visitor is not counted twice on the same day, the server computes an irreversible code from your IP address and your browser, mixed with a secret key that changes every day; that code cannot identify you and is deleted when the day ends. We do not store your IP address or your browser's name. What is kept are aggregated figures (visits per day, per page, per source and per device type) that identify no one.
We do not send this data to any external service. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used so we can maintain and improve it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We honour the "Do Not Track" and "Global Privacy Control" signals: if your browser sends either, nothing is counted.
External services
The design's typefaces are served from our own hosting, not from Google Fonts or any other external network. If a particular tool needs to contact an external service to work (for example, to check whether a link responds), that is stated on its own page before you use it.
Storage in your browser
Some tools remember your preferences, your favorite tools and the ones you used recently, and the site stores a copy of its pages so it can work offline. When you continue from one tool to another, your result is passed on through temporary storage in your browser that is deleted within minutes. That information stays on your device, never travels anywhere, and you can delete it by clearing your browser data. The visit count stores nothing in your browser.
Advertising
This site may display Google AdSense advertising. In that case, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits. You can manage your preferences at Google's ad settings.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability of your data by writing to hola@utilsdock.com. To object to the visit count, simply turn on "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" in your browser. You may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
