Paste your text
A social media post, a chat export, a product title or a comment.
Paste text full of emoji and get it back clean. Complete emoji sequences are removed, with skin tones and combined emoji, while your letters, digits and ordinary symbols stay.
100% private — your text is processed in your browser and never sent to any server.

Flags, keycap numbers and text-style symbols are optional.
The double spaces left by emoji are tidied for you.
Emoji are everywhere in messages and posts, but plenty of systems still choke on them: older databases that cannot store four-byte characters, printers, SMS gateways that switch to a more expensive encoding, CSV exports, invoices, product feeds, file names and formal documents. Sometimes you simply want a text that reads professionally. Removing emoji by hand is tedious, and a naive search can leave broken fragments behind.
Many emoji are not a single character. A flag is a pair of regional indicators, a family is several people joined by invisible connectors, a thumbs-up with a skin tone is a hand followed by a colour modifier, and a keycap number is a digit followed by two special marks. This tool recognises those sequences as one unit and removes them completely, so no stray colour patches, connectors or invisible leftovers remain in your text.
Characters such as ©, ®, ™, arrows or a plain heart ♥ can be written as text or as a coloured emoji, depending on how they are encoded. By default the tool removes only characters that display as emoji and leaves the text-style ones alone, so a copyright line survives. Tick "Also remove text-style symbols" to strip those as well. Digits are never removed, even though the keycap versions 1️⃣ are: the plain digit stays.
When an emoji sits between two spaces, removing it leaves a double space. The tidy option collapses those and trims spaces at the end of lines, so the result looks natural.
The tool removes emoji characters, not text emoticons such as :-), and it does not replace emoji with their names. It also cannot decide whether an emoji carried meaning in the sentence, so read the result before publishing it.
