Paste the links
One link, a list or a whole text.
Paste a link, or a whole text that contains links, and get them back without utm_ tags, fbclid, gclid and other tracking parameters. The rest of the text stays as it was.
100% private — your text is processed in your browser and never sent to any server.
Keep going with your result in another tool. Nothing is uploaded.
One link, a list or a whole text.
Only tracking parameters by default, or every parameter.
Shorter, tidier and without the trackers.
A link copied from a newsletter, an ad or a social network often ends with a long tail of characters: ?utm_source=...&utm_medium=...&fbclid=....
These parameters do not change the page you see. They tell the site who sent you and let advertising and analytics companies follow a click across
different services. When you paste that link into a message, you pass the tracking along and you make the link needlessly long and ugly. This tool
removes the tracking and leaves the link that works.
By default the tool deletes the well-known tracking parameters: the whole utm_ family used by analytics, click identifiers of large ad platforms such as fbclid, gclid, msclkid, ttclid and twclid, email marketing tags such as mc_cid and mc_eid, and share identifiers added by some apps. Other parameters, the ones a page needs to work, like a search term or a product id, are kept. If you prefer, you can remove every parameter and keep only the address of the page, and also drop the part after the # sign.
You can paste a whole paragraph, an email or a list, and only the web addresses inside are cleaned, the text around them is left alone. Punctuation directly after a link, such as a full stop at the end of a sentence, is not treated as part of the address. You can also remove repeated links, useful for a list you collected from several places.
Removing all parameters can break links that need them, for example a search results page or a video with a start time. That is why the safer default only removes known tracking parameters. After cleaning, open the link to check it still goes where you expect. Some sites add a tracking identifier in the path or in a redirect, and that cannot be removed here.
The links are cleaned in your browser and are never sent to a server, which would defeat the point. Site owners who want to build tracked links on purpose can use the UTM link builder.
