How it works

Choose a platform and format

Post, story, cover or banner — each with its exact size.

Drag and zoom your photo

Frame it however you like within that shape.

Download at the exact size

Ready to post without the platform re-cropping it for you.

Every social platform expects its own shape

A square Instagram post, a tall Story, a wide LinkedIn banner, a YouTube thumbnail — every format on every platform expects a different shape and pixel size, and uploading the wrong one means the platform's own auto-crop decides what gets cut off, often in a way you wouldn't have chosen yourself. This tool lets you pick the exact target size and frame the photo yourself before you ever upload it.

Covered formats

Instagram posts, portrait posts and Stories/Reels; Facebook posts and cover photos; X posts and header images; LinkedIn post images and banners; YouTube thumbnails and channel banners; and Pinterest pins — each preset uses the pixel size that platform actually recommends, so you don't have to look it up or remember it yourself.

Frame it yourself

Once you pick a format, drag your photo around and zoom in or out until it's framed exactly how you want within that shape, then download an image already sized to fit — no re-cropping surprises once it's posted, and no need to open a separate image editor just to get one file the right shape.

Sizes change; check before an important post

Platforms do occasionally update their recommended dimensions, so for anything high-stakes it's worth a quick check against the platform's current help pages — but the sizes here reflect what's commonly recommended and cover the vast majority of everyday posting needs.

Privacy

Your photo is cropped entirely in your browser. Nothing is ever uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

What size should an Instagram post be?
A square post is 1080×1080; a portrait post is 1080×1350; a Story or Reel is 1080×1920. All three are available as presets here.
Why does my photo get cropped weirdly when I post it?
If the uploaded image isn't already the platform's expected size and shape, its automatic cropper decides what to cut — framing it yourself to the exact size first avoids that.
Does this work for banners and cover photos too?
Yes, Facebook and LinkedIn cover/banner sizes, X headers, and YouTube channel banners are all included as presets.
Can I zoom in closer than the full photo?
Yes, use the zoom slider or pinch to zoom in past the fit view for a tighter crop on part of the photo.
Is the exported image exactly the platform's size?
Yes, the download is generated at exactly the pixel dimensions for the format you picked.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens entirely in your browser.
