Circle or square, always cropped to a perfect 1:1.
A transparent PNG, ready to upload anywhere.
Almost every profile picture, on almost every platform, ends up cropped to a square or displayed inside a circle. Rather than let a website's own automatic cropper decide where to cut, this tool lets you frame it yourself: drag your photo around and zoom in until your face — or whatever the subject is — sits exactly where you want it inside a perfect 1:1 square.
Most social networks and chat apps display avatars inside a circle, so that's the default here, exported as a PNG with a transparent background outside the circle — it drops cleanly onto any background color the platform uses. Choose square instead for platforms that keep the corners, or if you'd rather crop it yourself afterward.
512×512 covers most platforms comfortably; go up to 1024×1024 if you want extra headroom for a site that displays a larger version, or down to 256×256 for a smaller file. Native resolution exports at whatever size is actually visible in the frame at your current zoom, without artificially enlarging it, which matters if you zoomed in close on a smaller source photo.
Dragging and zooming respond to a mouse, a trackpad, or a finger on a touchscreen, including two-finger pinch to zoom, so framing your face feels just as natural on a phone as on a computer.
Your photo is cropped entirely in your browser. Nothing is ever uploaded.
