The crop downloads at its natural resolution.
Cropping is about choosing what stays and what goes: cutting out a distracting edge, focusing on one part of a wider photo, or reshaping an image to fit a particular ratio. Drop your photo, pick a ratio, and drag the image around within the frame — or scroll and pinch to zoom in closer — until it shows exactly what you want.
Square (1:1) for a profile picture or a social media grid, 16:9 or 9:16 for widescreen or vertical video thumbnails, 4:3 and 3:2 for classic photo proportions, or simply keep the image's original shape and crop within it freely. Switching between ratios recalculates the frame instantly, so it's easy to compare a few before settling on one.
The downloaded crop is rendered at the resolution actually visible inside the frame at your current zoom level, not stretched up to some fixed size. Zoom in a lot and the exported image will be smaller in pixels, reflecting the real detail available — an honest crop rather than a soft, artificially enlarged one, the same trade-off you'd get cropping in any photo editor.
The same drag-and-zoom controls respond to a mouse, a trackpad scroll, or a finger on a touchscreen, including two-finger pinch to zoom, so framing a crop feels the same whether you're on a phone or a computer.
