Any standard ZIP archive.
Every file listed, with all of them selected by default.
One file downloads directly, several come as a new ZIP.
Sometimes you only need one file out of a ZIP archive that contains dozens: a single photo from an export, one document from a folder someone sent you, a particular data file from a larger package. Extracting everything to look for the one file you need wastes disk space and time. This tool lists the contents first, so you can pick exactly what to download.
Drop the ZIP file and its contents are listed, every file inside it, ready to be selected individually or all at once. Choosing a single file downloads it directly with its original name. Choosing several packs just those files into a new, smaller ZIP for you to download.
The ZIP file is opened and decompressed entirely in your browser, using your device's own processing power; nothing is sent to a server to be unpacked. That matters for ZIP files containing anything sensitive, and it also means there is no server-side size limit beyond what your own device can handle.
This does not open password-protected ZIP files, since that would require handling the password in a way this tool is not built for. It also does not preview the contents of the files themselves, only lists their names; you need to download a file to open it, and formats such as RAR and 7-Zip use a different structure that this tool does not read. To create a ZIP file instead of opening one, use the ZIP creator.
