Optional: one holiday per line. Choose the weekend days used where you are.
The number of business days, or the resulting date.
Contracts, deliveries, refunds, legal notices, payment terms and service levels are very often defined in business days: "delivered within 5 business days", "payment due 30 working days after the invoice", "reply within 10 business days". Counting them means skipping weekends and public holidays, which is tedious and easy to get wrong on a calendar. This calculator does it in both directions.
Public holidays differ by country, region, and even city, so the tool does not assume any. List the ones that apply, one per line or separated by commas, written as 2026-12-25 or as 25/12/2026, and they are skipped, provided they fall on a weekday. A holiday that falls on a weekend is not counted twice. If a date is not understood, the tool tells you which and ignores it.
Most countries take Saturday and Sunday as the weekend, but in several others it is Friday and Saturday, and some businesses work on Saturdays and rest only on Sunday. You can choose among these three, and the count follows.
The start date is not counted when you add days: adding one business day to a Friday gives the next Monday. When you count the days between two dates, the start date is included and the end date is included if you tick the option, which matches how most legal and commercial periods are stated. Always check how the rules that apply to you count, as practice varies.
The tool does not know which holidays exist, half days, bridge days or company closures, so you have to supply them. It counts whole days, not hours. For a simple count of all days, use the date difference calculator.
