How to convert PNG to PDF

To convert PNG to PDF, drop your PNG files on the box above, put them in the order you want, choose the page size and click create. The PDF has one picture per page and is built inside your browser, so your files are never uploaded.

    Why convert

Forms, job portals, universities, banks and government sites often ask for a single PDF, while what you have is a handful of photos or scans. Converting PNG to PDF lets you combine them into one document that opens the same on every device, prints at the right size and is easier to attach to an email than a pile of loose pictures.

Screenshots and graphics in a PDF

PNG is the format of screenshots, diagrams and scans of line art, and it keeps every pixel exactly. Placed across an A4 landscape page, typical screenshots come out like this:

    Screenshots
Screenshot sourceWidth in pixelsSharpness on A4 landscape
    Laptop screen1366117 DPI
    Full HD monitor1920164 DPI
    iPhone screenshot1170100 DPI
    QHD monitor2560219 DPI

Anything above about 100 DPI is crisp on screen. For print, prefer larger sources. A PDF built from PNGs is bigger than one built from JPGs, because nothing is discarded; if a size limit applies, convert photos to JPG first.

Typical jobs and things to watch

    • Screenshots for documentation: steps of a process, error messages and settings screens gathered in order.
    • Design mock-ups and diagrams exported as PNG and delivered as one PDF for review.
    • Transparency: transparent areas of a PNG appear on a white page, since PDF pages here have a white background.
    • Tall screenshots: a very long page capture is shrunk to fit; split it in two if the text becomes too small.

    How it behaves

    • One picture per page. Each PNG becomes one PDF page, in the order shown in the list.
    • Page size: keep each picture's own size, or fit it on A4 (210 × 297 mm) or US Letter (8.5 × 11 in). Landscape pictures get a landscape page automatically.
    • Margins: none, small or normal, so the picture can touch the edges or sit inside a white border.
    • Quality: PNG pictures are stored losslessly inside the PDF, which keeps text and line art crisp but makes the PDF larger than with photos.

    Tips for the best result

    • Photograph documents in even light, from directly above, to avoid skewed or shadowed pages.
    • If the PDF is too heavy for an upload limit, use the PDF size reducer afterwards.
    • Use PNG for screenshots and diagrams; for photos, JPG produces a much lighter PDF.

    Private by design

Everything runs in your browser using your own device. Your files are never uploaded, which matters for IDs, contracts, invoices and personal photos, and it also means there is no waiting for an upload and no size limit imposed by a server.

    Frequently asked questions

Can I combine several PNG files into one PDF?
Yes. Add as many pictures as you need, reorder them with the arrows and create one PDF with a page for each.
What page size should I choose?
Use A4 for most of the world and US Letter for the United States and Canada. Choose 'fit each picture' if you want every page to match its image exactly.
Will the PDF be too big?
PNG images are stored without loss, so the PDF can be larger than the pictures suggest. For photos, converting to JPG first gives a much lighter PDF.
    Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion happens on your own device inside your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, so private documents, IDs and photos stay with you.
Is it free, with no watermark?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you convert. It runs in your browser, so it costs us nothing to let you use it freely.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. It works in modern mobile browsers on iPhone and Android. Very large files may be slow on older phones because your device does the work.
