Every page stamped, at the opacity you set.
A draft that shouldn't be mistaken for the final version, a confidential report that needs to say so on every page, a document you want to visibly associate with your brand before sharing a preview: a watermark communicates that at a glance, on every page, without covering up the content underneath.
A text watermark places your chosen word or short phrase diagonally across the middle of each page, in large, semi-transparent letters, the classic look for words like DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL or SAMPLE. A logo watermark centers your own PNG or JPG image on each page instead, scaled to fit and equally semi-transparent, useful for branding a document before it is finalized.
The opacity setting controls how strongly the watermark shows through: low values leave it as a subtle hint that doesn't interfere with reading the page, higher values make it impossible to miss. Adjust it to match how much you want the watermark to stand out.
This adds a visible mark; it does not encrypt the document or prevent copying or printing, which needs different, more restrictive tools. For a simple page number instead of a watermark, use add page numbers. Your PDF and your logo image are processed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded.
The watermark is stamped identically on each page, at the same size, angle and position, so a long document gets a consistent look throughout rather than needing the setting repeated page by page.
