How to convert text to PascalCase

To convert text to PascalCase, paste it in the box above and the result appears instantly in the output box, ready to copy. The style is already selected on this page. Every line is converted on its own, accents and other alphabets are respected, and nothing is uploaded because it all runs in your browser.

What it does

PascalCase, also called UpperCamelCase, writes each word with an initial capital and joins them without any separator. It is named after the Pascal language and is the standard for class, type, interface and component names in C#, Java, TypeScript, Go exported identifiers, React and .NET. Consistent names matter because teams read code faster when they follow a predictable pattern, and many linters and frameworks enforce it.

Where it is used

  • Class and interface names in C#, Java, Kotlin and TypeScript.
  • React, Vue and Angular components, which must start with a capital.
  • Exported functions and types in Go and public members in .NET.
  • File names for components and classes that follow the class name.

Tips and things to check

  • If the first letter should be lowercase, use the camelCase converter instead.
  • Words are split on spaces, hyphens, underscores, punctuation and on changes from lowercase to capital, so an existing camelCase name converts cleanly.
  • Numbers are kept in place, but check names such as Utf8Encoder against your style guide.

Private by design

Your text is processed in your browser and never sent to a server, so you can safely convert drafts, contracts, code or anything private.

Frequently asked questions

Is PascalCase the same as camelCase?
They are close, but PascalCase capitalises the first word too. userProfile is camelCase, UserProfile is PascalCase.
When should I use PascalCase?
For types and things that are constructed, such as classes, interfaces, enums and components. Variables, functions and object keys normally use camelCase.
What happens to separators?
Spaces, hyphens, underscores and other punctuation are removed and the letter that follows is capitalised.
Is this converter free?
Yes. There is no sign-up and no limit, and it runs in your browser, so nothing you type is sent to a server.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. It works in any modern mobile browser, and the result updates as you type.
