The converted time appears with its date and UTC offset.
Compare up to four target zones at once.
To convert EST to PST, subtract 3 hours all year. For example, when it is 12:00 noon in Eastern Time (New York) it is 9:00 AM in Pacific Time (Los Angeles) in winter. In the converter above the source and target zones are already selected: enter a date and a time and the result appears at once.
Eastern Time covers New York, Washington, Miami, Atlanta, Boston and Toronto. It is Eastern Standard Time (EST, UTC−5) in winter and Eastern Daylight Time (EDT, UTC−4) in summer, so people often write ET for both.
Pacific Time covers Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Las Vegas and Vancouver. It is Pacific Standard Time (PST, UTC−8) in winter and Pacific Daylight Time (PDT, UTC−7) in summer, often written simply as PT.
Both zones follow the same daylight saving dates, so the gap is three hours all year round: when it is noon in New York, it is 9:00 AM in Los Angeles. Winter offset: 3 hours behind. Summer offset: 3 hours behind.
