Compare up to four target zones at once.
To convert PST to EST, add 3 hours all year. For example, when it is 12:00 noon in Pacific Time (Los Angeles) it is 3:00 PM in Eastern Time (New York) in winter. In the converter above the source and target zones are already selected: enter a date and a time and the result appears at once.
Pacific Time covers Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Las Vegas and Vancouver. It is Pacific Standard Time (PST, UTC−8) in winter and Pacific Daylight Time (PDT, UTC−7) in summer, often written simply as PT.
Eastern Time covers New York, Washington, Miami, Atlanta, Boston and Toronto. It is Eastern Standard Time (EST, UTC−5) in winter and Eastern Daylight Time (EDT, UTC−4) in summer, so people often write ET for both.
Because the US zones shift together, Pacific time is always exactly three hours behind Eastern time, so you add three hours to go from PST to EST. Winter offset: 3 hours ahead. Summer offset: 3 hours ahead.
